The team got together at actor Namish Taneja’s Andheri residence to enjoy the festivities
The team that parties together stays together. This seems to be the mantra of the cast of Swaragini, who love to chill out as and when they get the opportunity. The past few weeks have been action-packed on the show and more drama is on the offing. In the midst of all this, the cast decided to celebrate the festival of Lohri. The party was held at Namish Taneja aka Lakshya’s Andheri residence.
The Delhi-born Punjabi lad was missing the Lohri celebrations back home and decided to lift up his spirits by calling his co-stars over to his place. He reminisced, “When I was in Delhi, we used to have a get-together at home and do bhangda around the rising flames of the bonfire. It’s almost a year since I started shooting for Swaragini, I have spent so much time with them on the set, now they have become a family for me.”
Giving him company were Nikita Sharma, who is seen as Kavita, Sanskaar’s (Varun Kapoor) ex-flame on the show and members of his on-screen Maheshwari khandaan – Sonika Handa (Sujata), Amar Sharma (RP Maheshwari), Aakansha Chamola (Parineeta), Tarun Singh (Adarsh) and Khyati Mangla (Uttara). Ironically, the ladies who are seen in heavy traditional wear on the show attended the party in western outfits. Sonika Handa aka Sujata was almost unrecognizable.
They light the customary bonfire and enjoyed a sumptuous dinner. Sadly, Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar), his onscreen wife could not make it. Co-stars Helly Shah (Swara) and Varun Kapoor had to skip it due to an early morning shoot.
